Ground Freezing Work for Osaka-kita Utility Tunnel Shield Construction at Kouno Neyagawa District

The ICELOCK method, our ground freezing method, was employed as a temporary protection work for connecting the shield tunnel and the adjacent shaft at a depth of 25 m. Since construction could not be carried out from the ground surface, the ability to conduct construction from underground and the high reliability of the ICELOCK were the reasons for its adoption. The construction period is for constructing four locations.
