Cut off Wall using Chemical Grouting
for Kita-no-Mine Tunnel Construction
in Hokkaido

The Asahikawa Tokachi Road is a regional high-standard road extending 120km, connecting Asahikawa City to Shimukappu Village. The Kita-no-Mine Tunnel, located near Furano City, passes through an alluvial fan at the foothills of the Yubari Mountains which has a length of approximately 3 km.

Consider the impact on the surrounding hydrological environment, due to the abundant water resources in the area, the non-drainage structure and chemical grouting was adopted for water cut off.
