Reinforcing existing seawall project in Otaru Port

The project is to modify a quay wall to bring a 150,000-ton cruise ship to shore at Otaru Port. The BB anchor was adopted as a soil retaining support for underwater excavation during the improvement of the quay wall.

There are two reasons for adopting the BB Anchor, that is the excavation area is nearby the warehouse, and secondly, the deep accumulation of soft ground makes it difficult to secure a bearing layer for conventional ground anchors.

Therefore, BB Anchor was selected as a bearing pressure type ground anchor that can provide significant bearing capacity even in soft ground.
