The area suffered significant damage from the Great East Japan Earthquake, including loss or damage to fishing ports. This project was undertaken to restore and strengthen the fishing port facilities, with the aim of creating a disaster-resistant and highly productive fishing industry and fishing village.

We applied vertical anchors to the existing damaged seawall to apply pre-stressing force to restrain deformation during earthquakes and tsunamis.
